The government and real estate sector in India has acknowledged the benefits of green buildings and have started to implement the concept in their initiatives and projects. Since last few years, green buildings have been the norms in many government initiatives like Smart Cities Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). Even the private players in real estate sector have been integrating the sustainable growth and energy-efficient concepts in their projects.
